Памятники православного монументального зодчества Полоцка во второй половине XVIII–XIX вв.

Abstract

Представлены описание и история функционирования монастырских и городских православных храмов Полоцка во второй половине XVIII–XIX вв. Освящается история строительства новых, а также преобразования былых католических храмов под нужды православия. Рассматривается трансформация внешнего и внутреннего облика храмов в ходе ремонтных и реставрационных работ, проводимых во второй половине XVIII–XIX вв.= The description and the history of the functioning of both the monastery and city Orthodox churches of Polotsk in the second half of the XVIII-XIX centuries are presented. The history of the construction of new ones, as well as the transformation of the former Catholic churches to the needs of Orthodoxy, is consecrated. The transformation of the external and internal appearance of the churches in the course of repair and restoration works conducted in the second half of the 18th-19th centuries is considered.
