Горацианские мотивы в творчестве Э. Паунда

Abstract

Рассматриваются горацианские мотивы в творчестве американского поэта Эзры Паунда (Ezra Pound, 1885 – 1972), одного из значительных поэтов и критиков XX века, основоположников английского и американского модернизма. В творчестве Эзры Паунда горацианские мотивы являются постоянно присутствующим рефлексивным фоном, придающим модернистскому тексту необычайную глубину. Для художника с его эстетическими представлениями о поэте – продолжателе мировой литературной традиции и, более того, медиуме, объединяющем разрозненный опыт веков, традиция Горация важна как способ совмещения в творчестве личного и общекультурного опыта.= The article deals with the Horatian motives in the works by the American poet Ezra Pound (1885–1972), one of the most considerable poets and critics of the twentieth century, the founders of the English and American modernism. In the Ezra Pound’s works the Horatian motives are a constantly present reflective background, giving the modernist text extraordinary depth. For the artist with his aesthetic ideas about the poet – the continuer of the world literary tradition and, moreover, the medium uniting the scattered experience of the centuries, the tradition of Horace is important as a way of combining personal and general cultural experience in the works.
