Abstract: Neil Gaiman is a contemporary writer whose works have won numerous awards including the Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker awards. The article analyzes the literary influence of Howard Phillips Lovecraft on the style of Neil Gaiman on the material of the novel The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
