| Abstract: | There is a special concept of Уrosende lundФ ("the grove of roses") in the Swedish literary criticism. Researches give a number of different explanations of this particular setting of Swedish ballad plots. Some of them see pagan or Christian symbols in it, the others try to link it with medieval chivalrous literature, especially "Roman de la Rose". |
