Выявлены функциональные аспекты оптимизации среды с учетом психологических и социологических особенностей проживающих. Разработана теоретическая модель объемно-пространственной организации студенческого жилья. Определена оптимальная жилая среда в соответствии с представлениями студентов.= The principles and methods of housing design for students are considered. The main factors influencing the formation of student living environment are analyzed. The existing living conditions in hostels are studied. A sociological study to establish the parameters of comfort of housing for students. Рассматривается проблема временного или постоянного пребывания такой категории граждан (людей пожилого возраста, инвалидов, тяжелобольных) в домах специального назначения. Показано, что психологическую реабилитацию во многом определяет уровень их основной среды обитания. Доступная среда жизнедеятельности для маломобильных групп населения должна обеспечивать им возможность полноценного, комфортного проживания, общения с природой и внешней средой.
