Abstract: The authors tried to scientifically explain the impact of digital transformation on the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the regions. This goal is achieved using a statistically significant paired linear regression model. Quantitative and qualitative patterns of the consequences of digitalization are modeled and described. The scale and intensity of the digital transformation of the socio-economic sphere of the studied regions of the Russian Federation are related to the amount of costs for the introduction and use of digital technologies. Most of the scientific research concludes that the higher the financial costs of implementing digital technologies, the wider the scale and intensity of digitalization. Our hypothesis about the absence of the impact of costs on the sustainable development of Russian regions was tested on indicators for 2019, 2020 and 2022 using correlation analysis.
