Государственно-церковные отношения на Гомельщине межвоенного периода

Abstract

Рассматривается конфессиональная политика в регионе в указанный период, приводятся имена гомельских священников, епископов. На основании архивных документов Национального исторического архива Беларуси, Государственного архива Гомельской области, Гомельской церковно-исторической комиссии дополняется общеизвестный дореволюционный список православных церквей г. Гомеля, функционировавших в XIX–XX веках. Уточняются даты возведения церквей региона, имена их меценатов и инициаторов, в частности, уничтоженной Георгиевской церкви, сгоревших Ново-Белицкой и Николаевской церквей; систематизируется деятельность Административного отдела, курирующего клириков в послеоктябрьский период.= The article is devoted to the confessional policy of the region in the described period. Having studied archival documents of the National Historical Archive of Belarus and the State Archive of the Gomel Region the author has enlarged the well-known list of Gomel churches which functioned in the XIX–XX centuries. An attempt was made to give more accurate information about the dates of the regional churches construction in the prerevolutionary period as well as to find out the names of their sponsors and initiators. In particular, the author mentions the names of initiators and defines a more precise date of the construction of the destroyed St George’s Church and burnt New St Nykolay’s Church in Belitsa. Much attention is paid to the work of the Executive Committee administrative department which supervised clergymen in post-revolutionary time.
