The analysis of geological exploration methods for hydrocarbon deposits are given. The different modes of interaction of electromagnetic waves with hydrocarbons are mentioned. The evaluation of the accuracy of determining the boundaries of oil and gas fields, set the level of identification of hydrocarbons are made. The analysis of electromagnetic methods of searching a wide frequency range are mentioned. The characteristic of the most prospectively hydrocarbon detection methods is shown. Recommendations for the integrated use of electromagnetic methods of searching are suggested. The research results can be used to develop electromagnetic hydrocarbon search techniques, proximal and distal radar systems.ru_RU
