| dc.description.abstract | В статье исследуются этические и философские аспекты науки в контексте литературы XIX века, включая тему ответственности ученого перед обществом и наукой на примере новелл Н. Готорна (Nathaniel Hawthorne, 1804– 1864) «Родимое пятно» (The Birthmark, 1843) и «Дочь Рапачини» (Rappaccini’s Daughter, 1844). Анализируется, как Н. Готорн создает образы ученых, подчеркивая их стремление к идеалу и искушение нарушить естественные законы ради экспериментов. Исследуются сходства и различия между главными героями двух новелл, акцентируя внимание на их мотивации, личных трагедиях. | ru_RU |

The article analyzes how Hawthorne creates images of scientists, emphasizing their pursuit of the ideal and the temptation to violate natural laws for the sake of experiments.
