| dc.description | This article presents historical information about the Orthodox monasteries of Vitebsk, operating in the second third of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Differences between the monasteries are identified based on their requirements, their importance to the diocese, and their staffing affiliations. An analysis of their economic activities before and after the implementation of the state policy of secularization of church lands and the introduction of staffing is provided. An overview of monastic complexes is presented: church buildings, cell buildings, and economic structures. Factors influencing the formation of the monastic community and the organization of monastic life are identified. Examples of appointments to vacant abbot positions in monasteries are considered. Biographical information about the abbots is presented and their importance in organizing the spiritual and economic life of the monastery is revealed. | ru_RU |
| dc.description.abstract | В статье представлены исторические сведения о православных монастырях города Витебска, Свято-Духовом женском и Свято-Троицком Марковом мужском, функционировавших во второй трети XIX – начале ХХ века. Выявлены различия между монастырями в зависимости от их статуса, штатной принадлежности и значения для епархии. Дан анализ их хозяйственной деятельности до и после проведения государственной по-литики секуляризации церковных земель и введения штатного расписания. Представлен обзор монастырских комплексов: храмовых, келейных, экономических построек. Выявлены причины, влиявшие на характер формирования монашеского сообщества, организацию внутримонастырской жизни. Рассмотрены примеры назначений на настоятельские вакансии в монастырях. Представлены биографические справки настоятелей и выявлено их значение в организации духовной и хозяйственной жизни монастыря. | ru_RU |
