Заимствования как один из способов номинации транспортных средств в белорусском языке

Abstract

Анализируются заимствованные наименования транспортных средств в белорусском языке. В рамках ономасиологического подхода рассматриваются вопросы заимствований как важной составляющей в ряду основных способов номинации. = The offered article deals with borrowed names of vehicles in the Belarusian language, selected from “Explanatory dictionary of the Belarusian literary language” (Minsk, 2005) and “Dictionary of foreign words. Actual lexicon” (Minsk, 2005). Loans are considered in the article as an important component among the main ways of the nomination. The analysis of selected 76 names of vehicles is directed on the identification of the main sources and on the quantitative ratio of the borrowings. The analysis of selected vocabulary led to the conclusion that a significant amount of names of vehicles are common for the Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian languages formed on the basis of Old Russian language. The research revealed lexemes borrowed from Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Lithuanian, German, English, French, Turkic and other languages at different stages of development of the Belarusian language.
