Иезуиты против энциклопедистов: парижские и полоцкие страницы литературной полемики

Abstract

Рассмотрены два эпизода литературной полемики между иезуитами и энциклопедистами. В центре первого из них – анонимная и малоизвестная сатира «Диалог между Книгоношей и Дидро в лавке Книгопродавца о словаре “Энциклопедия”», распространявшаяся в середине сентября 1751 года в Париже и предвосхищающая основные направления критики отцом Бертье статей из первого тома «Энциклопедии». Второй эпизод связан с опубликованным в декабре 1817 года трактатом отца Розавена «Защищенная и доказанная фактами истина против древней и новой клеветы», в котором содержится не только опровержение идеологии деизма, но и парадоксальная попытка сближения позиций Общества Иисуса и «философской партии». В обоих случаях вопросы научного знания являются орудием в борьбе за символическую власть. the article deals with two episodes of the literary controversy between the Jesuits and the Encyclo-paedists. the first one focuses on an anonymous and little-known satire “Dialogue entre un Colporteur et Diderot dans la boutique d’un Libraire, sur le Dictionnaire de l’Encyclopédie” (“Dialog between a Book peddler and Diderot in a Bookshop about the Dictionary of Encyclopedia”) spread in Paris in mid-September 1751 and anticipating the headlines of Father Berthier’s attack on the articles of the Encyclopedia’s first volume. the second episode is related to the treaty by Father Rozaven “La Vérité défendue et prouvée par les faits, contre les calomnies anciennes et nouvelles” (“Verity Protected and Proved by the Facts against Ancient and New Calumnies”) published in Polotsk in December 1817. This writing includes the refutation of deistic ideology as well as a paradoxical attempt to match opinions of the Society of Jesus and the “philosophical party”. in both cases, the matters of knowledge turn to be the means in the struggle for symbolic power.
