Фантастический элемент в военной новелле Амброза Бирса

Abstract

Рассмотрена реализация фантастического в военной прозе А. Бирса. Изучен специфический авторский взгляд на военные события в США 1861–1865 годов. Страшная и фантастическая новелла писателя исследует природу человеческого страха в критической ситуации, передает личный опыт солдата, потрясенного ожесточением братоубийственной войны, состояние внутренней, духовной омертвелости, оказавшееся для его поколения психологическим следствием фронтовых лет. Присутствие смерти ощущается в каждой фантастической новелле писателя, напоминая о том, что жизнь и смерть неотделимы друг от друга, а мистическое, ирреальное и фантастическое всегда сосуществует параллельно с обыденным.=The article deals with the realization of the fantastic in the military prose of Ambrose Bierce. The specific author's view of military events in the USA of 1861–1865 is studied. The scary and fantastic short story of the writer investigates the nature of human fear in a crucial moment. A. Bierce's short story passes on absolutely concrete experience of the soldier shaken by atrocity of fratricidal war, the condition of internal, spiritual death which has appeared for the whole generation as a psychological consequence of front years. Presence of death is felt in each fantastic short story of the writer, focusing attention on the fact that life and death are inseparabler, and mystical, urreal always coexists with ordinary.
