Мотив паломничества в романе Германа Гессе «Сиддхартха»

Abstract

Рассматривается художественная реализация восточной темы в романе Г. Гессе «Сиддхартха» («Siddhartha», 1922) через анализ мотива паломничества. Показано, что данный мотив трактуется в качестве путешествия Сиддхартхи к истокам своей души, к своему истинному внутреннему «я». Паломничество главного героя как процесс духовного самосовершенствования включает в себя как вынужденное, так и намеренное чувство одиночества Сиддхартхи. Целью духовных поисков героя является достижение состояния просветления, обретение внутренней целостности посредством гармонизации полярности своей личности и внешнего бытия. Раскрывается влияние мировоззрения индуизма и различных философских течений Китая на роман Г. Гессе «Сиддхартха».= the article considers the artistic realization of the eastern subject in H. Hesse’s novel «Siddhartha» through the analysis of the pilgrimage motive. It’s shown that the given motive is interpreted as Siddhartha’s journey to the cradle of his soul, to his genuine inner self. the pilgrimage of the protagonist as a process of spiritual self-cultivation includes both the forced and the deliberate sense of Siddhartha’s solitude. the aim of the protagonist’s spiritual searching is to attain the state of enlightenment, to gain inner integrity by means of the harmonization of polarity of his personality and external being. the influence of the Hindu ideology and various Chinese philosophical currents upon H. Hesse’s novel «Siddhartha» is revealed.
