Основополагающие мотивы новеллистики США о Гражданской войне

Abstract

Рассмотрены основные характерные тенденции в изображении событий Гражданской войны в США второй половины ХIХ столетия. Исследованы ключевые мотивы военной новеллистики на примере произведений А. Бирса, Г. Джеймса, С.О. Джуитт, Г. Кинг, С. Крейна, У.Ч. Морроу, Л.М. Олкотт, К. Шопен. Проанализированы новаторские авторские приемы отражения исторически значимой национальной катастрофы. Прослежены различия в мужском и женском взгляде на войну и ее последствия для человека и общества.= The article deals with the main characteristic features and antimilitary tendencies in the portraying the events of the American Civil War in literature of the second part of the nineteenth century. The key motives of the military short story are explored in the works by A. Bierce, H. James, S.O. Jewett, G. King, S. Crane, W. Morrow, L.M. Alcott, K. Chopin. The innovative techniques in the reflection of the historically significant national catastrophe are presented. The differences in the male and female depiction of the war and its consequences are traced.
