Abstract: Summary. Small and medium-sized enterprises are important forces and participants in the market economy. Promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises is of great significance to the prosperity of the economy and the expansion of employment. However, in reality, many small and medium-sized enterprises are facing the difficulty of financing. The root cause is the relative lack of credit ratings of small and medium-sized enterprises. Building and improving the credit rating of small and medium-sized enterprises is of great significance to alleviating the financing difficulties of enterprises and reducing financial market risks. This article takes the credit rating of SMEs as the research object, adopts the methods of standard analysis and empirical analysis to analyze the credit rating and financing status of SMEs, expounds the importance of building SME credit ratings, and further puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions.
