Е.О. Патона является внедрение новых технологий и оборудования для соединения биологических тканей сваркой в медицине.= The main sources of the development of modern electrosurgical methods, which are in ancient times, as well as the stages of the development of electrosurgery from the sources of its occurrence to the current state, are considered. The basis of these methods is the phenomenon of electromagnetism. A significant contribution to the discovery and study of this phenomenon was made by outstanding researchers, experimenters and theorists of all peoples of the world. It is noted that in the 18th century, doctors studied the effect of electricity on living tissues using electric machines and atmospheric electricity, and by the end of the 18th century basic ideas about electricity had already been created. The most important phenomena of electrostatics were studied and its mathematical justification was performed. At the beginning of the 19th century, electric current was in the focus of experimental and theoretical physics, and the phenomena of the conversion of electricity into heat were of particular theoretical and practical importance. Today on the world market there are numerous high-frequency electrosurgical devices. One of the priority areas of research at the Institute of Electric Welding. E.O. Paton is the introduction of new technologies and equipment for joining biological tissues by welding in medicine.
