| Abstract: | The paper deals with independent work in learning English. Independent work is a gradual, individual and never-ending process of self-discovery. It is a process, which learners gradually discover what independence is. Independent learners act independently and in cooperation with others, participate actively in social processes of their learning, interpret new information according to their background knowledge, know exactly how to learn and how to reflect critically on the process of learning. |
