Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of legal consciousness as a complex process of perception, understanding and reflection of legal information. We study such signs of legal consciousness as its extent in time and space, as well as the tension of legal consciousness. Based on these methodological premises comparative legal studies on the distinguishing features of legal consciousness in the Anglo-Saxon and Romano-Germanic legal systems are conducted.
