| Abstract: | The article deals with the main problem concepts of "communication" and "intercultural communication" in connection with the intensive introduction of the English language in the process of international communication. Approaches to the definition of "globalization" are analyzed. The article draws attention to the factors that elevate the English language to the international status, and focuses on the role of the international English language in the process of intercultural communication. |
