| Abstract: | Предметом исследования является ритуально-мифологический подтекст пьесы Дж. Б. Шоу «Пигмалион», соответствующий схеме инициации, описанной В. Проппом на материале волшебной сказки. Существенным для пьесы оказывается демонстративно неполное соответствие её сюжета классической схеме инициации, в чем проявляется авторское переосмысление соотношения личностного и родового (коллективного). Следствием инициации для героини становится осознание собственной личностности и принципиальный отказ от следования постинициационным сценариям социального поведения. Показано, что, в отличие от фольклорного «автора», полагающего высшее личностное достижение героя волшебной сказки в его слиянии с родовым коллективом, ценностным приоритетом для Шоу является индивидуальное человеческое «я». Определено место пьесы Шоу как художественного и философско-эстетического документа эпохи модернизма среди иных произведений, представляющих девиантные формы инициации. |
| metadata.local.description.annotation: | The subject of the study is the ritual and mythological subtext of the play “Pygmalion” by J. B. Shaw, which corresponds to the scheme of initiation described by V. Propp based on the material of a fairy tale. Essential for the play is the demonstratively incomplete correspondence of its plot to the classical scheme of initiation, which manifests the author's rethinking of the relationship between personal and generic (collective). The consequence of initiation for the heroine is an awareness of her own personality and a fundamental refusal to follow post-initiation scenarios of social behavior. It is shown that, in contrast to the folklore “author”, who considers the highest personal achievement of the hero of a fairy tale to be in his merger with the tribal team, the value priority for Shaw is the individual human “I”. The place of Shaw's play as an artistic and philosophical-aesthetic document of the era of modernism among other works representing deviant forms of initiation is determined. |
