| dc.description.abstract | В статье рассматриваются случаи размещения кремации на вершине уже сооружённого кургана. Погребение могло находится в специально сделанной деревянной конструкции, либо в выкопанной на вершине ямке. Наиболее ранние погребе- ния в деревянных конструкциях появляются на северо-западе и западе Полоцкой земли в третьей четверти І тысячелетия н.э. Они связаны с погребальными традициями псковских длинных курганов. В центральной части рассматриваемой тер- ритории такие курганы, вероятно, относятся к IX – X вв., и связаны с традициями культуры смоленско-полоцких длинных курганов. Курганы с размещением кремации в ямке на вершине курганов зафиксированы только на могильниках в верховьях Березины Днепровской. | ru_RU |

| dc.description.alternative | The article deals with cases of placing cremation on top of an already built mound. The burial could be located in a specially made wooden structure, or in a hole dug at the top. The earliest burials in wooden structures appear in the northwest and west of the Polotsk land in the third quarter of the 1st millennium AD. They are associated with the burial traditions of the Pskov long mounds. In the central part of the territory under consideration, such mounds probably belong to the 9th-10th centuries and are associated with the traditions of the culture of the Smolensk-Polotsk long mounds. Burial mounds with cremation in a hole at the top of the mounds were recorded only at burial grounds in the upper reaches of the Dnieper Berezina. | ru_RU |
