| dc.description.abstract | Средневековый город Жижец располагается к югу от д. Залучье на берегу Жижицкого озера на длинном мысу, впа- дающем в озеро. Памятник известен по письменным источникам с XII в. Результаты археологических исследований дока- зали, что на месте летописного города Жижца располагается комплекс памятников археологии. Центральное место в комплексе занимает средневековый город Жижец - крупное городское образование, имеющее укрепленное ядро и обширный посад. В непосредственной близости от городища открыт комплекс разновременных памятников, как синхронных городу Жижец, так и предшествующих его возникновению. В настоящее время территория у д. Залучье активно застраивается, остро стоит вопрос о сохранении памятников археологии. | ru_RU |

| dc.description.alternative | The Medieval town of Zhizhets is located to the south of Zaluchie Village on the bank of Zhizhitskoye Lake on a long cape projecting forward into the lake. This place has been known from written sources since the 12th century. The results of archaeological research have proved that a complex of archaeological monuments is located at the place of the town of Zhizhets mentioned in the chronicles. The central place in this complex is occupied by the medieval town of Zhizhets – a big town entity with a fortified core and a vast territory of the unprotected settlement. A complex of monuments dating back to different time periods, both synchronous to the town of Zhizhets and preceding its origination, has been discovered in close proximity to the ancient settlement. At the present time the territory near Zaluchie Village is being actively developed. The problem of preservation of the monuments of archaeology is very acute. | ru_RU |
