Сущность и перспективы развития электронных денег в современной денежной системе

Abstract

The article is devoted to examination problems and perspectives of development of electronic money. The analysis of electronic money basic characteristics was carried out and differences of e-money from paper ones were brought to light. The giving classification allows to depicture variety of electronic money types existing nowadays. The analytical examination of private money conception, proposed by F. Hayek, and systems of electronic money allowed to draw a conclusion about proximity of the mentioned notions. It gives grounds to consider electronic money as a perspective alternative to existing types of money nowadays. The possibility to exclude the inflation will become the decisive advantage of electronic money emitted on competitive basis
