| Abstract: | The theme of childhood plays an important part in the works of a great French writer and poet Victor Hugo. This theme is not created artificially, images are not forced because it derives its strength from the author?s background, from the depth of his soul. Plenty of verses written by him touch upon childhood and devoted to his daughters. Each poem performs new facets to depict the complete image of childhood. The core aim of this article is to reveal dominating features of the child?s character in the poetry by Victor Hugo |
