dc.description.abstract	The article covers the experimental narrative nature of documentaryfictional collection of short stories and poems in prose “The Forbidden Zone” by M. Borden. The artistic unity is reached not only by the common theme related to World War I (transformation of soldier and civilian identity under the traumatizing influence of hospital existence) but also by the use of different montage techniques and free associations, repetition of key motifs (hospital as battlefield or prison, operation room as a production line).	ru_RU
