| Abstract: | В статье рассматриваются функции замкового пространства и их специфика в английском готическом романе последней трети XVIII в. – первой трети XIX в. Обосновывается, что замок является формально-содержательной категорией текста, представляющей собой полифункциональную модель художественного мира произведения. Характеризуются основополагающие функции замкового строения: историко-генеалогическая, сюжетообразующая, жанровая, темпоральная, психологическая, мифопоэтическая, семиотическая, метафорическая, эстетическая, идеологическая, аксиологическая и рецептивная. Уделяется внимание специфическим функциям замка, отражающим трансформацию образного поля «замок» (деконструктивная, экзистенциальная и фатальная). Утверждается, что функциональный инвариант замка позволяет сближать его с другими архитектурными строениями (аббатствами, монастырями, церквями, домами и др.), которые выполняют сходные задачи в художественном произведении. |
| metadata.local.description.annotation: | The article examines the functions of castle space and their specific features in the English Gothic novel of the last third of the 18th century and the first third of the 19th century. It argues that the castle is a formal and semantic category of the text which represents a multifunctional model of the artistic world of the literary work. The study characterizes the fundamental functions of the castle, including the historical-genealogical, plot-forming, generic, temporal, psychological, mythopoetic, semiotic, metaphorical, aesthetic, ideological, axiological, and receptive functions. Attention is paid to the specific functions of the castle that reflect the transformation of the figurative field “castle” (deconstructive, existential, and fatal functions). The article demonstrates that the functional invariant of the castle makes it possible to relate it to other architectural structures (abbeys, monasteries, churches, houses, etc.) that perform similar functions within a literary work. |
