Abstract: In this article we consider the problem of formation of cognitive activity of children of preschool age. The problem of cognitive activity has long attracted the attention of philosophers, psychologists, educators from Socrates to the present day. At present, the goal of education is to educate not only a creative, comprehensively developed person, but also a flexibly adjusted to ever-changing reality one, ready to learn entirely new fields and areas of activity. In this regard, the problem of studying and development of cognitive activity takes a special place, because cognitive activity is the key to the successful activity of children.
